The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and with some lovely views. I couldn't think of a nicer place to spend the weekend. I'm really looking forward to my next visit. The cottage itself was spotless on arrival, very comfortable and has all we needed.... read more It is so peaceful and quiet in the countryside, yet only a short drive to Staithes, Runswick Bay, Saltburn and other coastal villages on the Yorkshire Coast. Dawn was always very friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. We hope to be back again next time we stay over here!

Everyone, everywhere was friendly and chatty! My mums dog, Chudley, loved his stay too- settled very quickly and loved all the pheasants and partridges in surrounding fields!!! The house itself was... read more very comfortable, with lots of attention to detail and comfort.Even though pubs and shops are not within walking distance, there are plenty of options by car (though, to be fair, not many at 7 pm on a Sunday). Dawn had some excellent suggestions, and was a friendly and responsive host. It is the perfect place from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the wonderful coastal towns and villages. Equally, it would be a delightful place just to spend a few days in a peaceful and beautiful location and not go anywhere at all!

  One word AMAZING! Me and my partner stayed with our 2 chihuahuas for 2 nights. When we arrived we was greated with a very clean tidy cottage. Dawn had even... read more left us some tasty botham's of whitby tea biscuits, ginger parkin, tea bags. As well as a pint a milk. The bed was super comfy had no problem falling asleep after the long drive. The views are beautiful from the cottage, there is a sea view from the windows which is amazing. There is so many nice places nearby, the cottage is in a central location but still remote. Our last day we went to goathland (Heartbeat set and Hogsmede in first Harry Potter film) which was roughly 20 mins away, we took the steam train to whitby. Hands down one of the best weekends me and my partner have had. Our only negative was we didn't stay longer to do more exploring. We will definitely be back.

Would definitely recommend staying here.
