  Great place to stay

  Really enjoyed our stay, such a peaceful place to stay with stunning views. The only thing for us was we needed to drive to everything but lots of beautifulplaces... read more only a short drive away. Had a lovely visit to Staithes and Saltburn by the sea. The food at the Jolly Sailor was really good.

Views from the cottage are... read more stunning it has all you need for an enjoyable stress free stay.
Dawn is an attentive host making sure we were settled and available if we had questions. Her communications and directions were outstanding and made arrival easy.
The cottage was warm and extra touches like a welcome pack made it a special stay.

  One word AMAZING! Me and my partner stayed with our 2 chihuahuas for 2 nights. When we arrived we was greated with a very clean tidy cottage. Dawn had even... read more left us some tasty botham's of whitby tea biscuits, ginger parkin, tea bags. As well as a pint a milk. The bed was super comfy had no problem falling asleep after the long drive. The views are beautiful from the cottage, there is a sea view from the windows which is amazing. There is so many nice places nearby, the cottage is in a central location but still remote. Our last day we went to goathland (Heartbeat set and Hogsmede in first Harry Potter film) which was roughly 20 mins away, we took the steam train to whitby. Hands down one of the best weekends me and my partner have had. Our only negative was we didn't stay longer to do more exploring. We will definitely be back.

  A nice house that catered for us and our pooches well. It's just that it is in the middle of literally nowhere. Saltburn, there's nothing there. Staithes is just pebbledash... read more housing by the sea, with an industrial works. Wanted to collect some sea glass but nowhere to park. Tick machine takes your money but gives you no ticket. Whitby has become a dive of epic proportions. Got charged £30 for take away fish and chips. Public Facilities takes your money and the doors don't open. So we just had to kick about the house from mid afternoon because there was no where else to go except local coop. There could have been a few little breakfast bits in for us and some milk etc. Oh and there was no hot water. Shower was stone cold this morning. Other than this house was very clean and nicely set out. But we got up this morning and just haply went home.

It seemed a lot bigger... read more than the photos and we felt at home straightaway and both of us relaxed and really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is lovely and in a beautiful location, near to the seaside towns, woodland and moors of North Yorkshire. We could have stayed longer! I would definitely stay there again and I will recommend the cottage to friends and family.

  We had a lovely stay in Staithes View. Beautiful surroundings, the cottage had everything that we needed for a relaxing break and Dawn was the perfect host. Highly recommended.

Had everything we needed inc all the little helpful extras like oil, tin foil, dish washer tabs etc. The house is actually a lot bigger than it looks in the photos, it really is spacious. Place was clean tidy and very well thought out. Beds were really comfy and the bedding was also lovey, good thick soft duvets.both bedrooms being en-suite was really helpful with teenagers and a downstairs loo too. We all slept like logs as it’s so quiet and out of the way. Views over the fields are stunning and easy to find just off Grinkle Lane. We would love to come back some time. Thank you

The house itself was... read more very comfortable, with lots of attention to detail and comfort.Even though pubs and shops are not within walking distance, there are plenty of options by car (though, to be fair, not many at 7 pm on a Sunday). Dawn had some excellent suggestions, and was a friendly and responsive host. It is the perfect place from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and the wonderful coastal towns and villages. Equally, it would be a delightful place just to spend a few days in a peaceful and beautiful location and not go anywhere at all!

Only 10 minutes drive from... read more Staithes and not much further to the gorgeous seaside hamlet of Runswick Bay. All perfect for walking the Cleveland Way and for any dog. Our labrador loves swimming so the beach was just perfect. Dawn was lovely and friendly and was full of helpful information for the local area. Had a great time.

Very comfortable beds, kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need, was perfect for the two of us, kids will love it when we come back, and we 100% will - TV has Amazon prime movies and Netflix! Dawn was perfect host, communication was clear simple and prompt throughout. Welcome basket on arrival was both unexpected and a real treat, Dawn had gone the extra mile with it - as she has done with so much else.
