Positives - Stunning views (the view over the hills towards the sea is to die for, its called Staithes view for a reason)The accommodation - clean, spacious, fully equipped with... read more everything you could possibly need if you wanted to self cater, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms (which is a treat), velux windows to admire the view in the morning and onsite parking is a bonus. Close to Staithes and Runswick Bay (which is lovely) we only stayed 2 nights but managed to do both places. Advised in summer months to get to carpark early at Runswick Bay as it gets busy! 8.30 we got there and it was already half full. Recommendations by Dawn for places to eat (tiger inn) which was very nice, just book. Tried the Captain Cook inn at Staithes (top of the hill) was also very good and reasonably priced. Dawn is a good tour guide and will give you helpful advice and both hosts are lovely to talk to and very accomodating. Negatives- wish we could have stayed longer!

One word AMAZING! Me and my partner stayed with our 2 chihuahuas for 2 nights. When we arrived we was greated with a very clean tidy cottage. Dawn had even... read more left us some tasty botham's of whitby tea biscuits, ginger parkin, tea bags. As well as a pint a milk. The bed was super comfy had no problem falling asleep after the long drive. The views are beautiful from the cottage, there is a sea view from the windows which is amazing. There is so many nice places nearby, the cottage is in a central location but still remote. Our last day we went to goathland (Heartbeat set and Hogsmede in first Harry Potter film) which was roughly 20 mins away, we took the steam train to whitby. Hands down one of the best weekends me and my partner have had. Our only negative was we didn't stay longer to do more exploring. We will definitely be back.
